The Horse and Jockey is a stand alone pub that is situated in the middle of Rawmarsh, the mural on the side of the pub has changed since Will's photo in April 2013 to lots of galloping horses.
Once inside there is a largish single oblong shaped room which runs to the rear of the pub,the front area is wider, there is a small raised area to the front right, the front left side had comfy bench seating and bucket chairs, the bar was in the narrower middle area to the left, the rear area had smart looking green leather bench seating on either side with strange looking stools, there was a pool table to the rear of the room.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths Magnet which was quite a nice keg bitter.
The pub was fairly busy on my early Saturday dinner visit with drinkers, modern type background music was playing, not to my taste.
This is a decent pub, shame there was'nt one real ale on here.
