I have probably stayed in this hotel for over 100 nights in the past 10 years or so. what draws me back is the excellent hotel bar. There are as many locals as residents who frequent the place which gives it a proper pub atmosphere. Three of the local dogs have walkies that involve calling in here each evening. It's one room, but partitioned off to feel like several, with a mix of seating. Two handpumps on the bar dispense ever changing guest beers with Acorn & Wentworth being regular breweries. The prices are sensible for a hotel, only being 10p or so above the local pubs. I've spent many an hour in here whilst working in the area.
