The Angel is situated in the middle of Rotherham,it is very handy for the bus station.
Once inside there is a large oblongish shaped room, the bar is to the front right, there are some comfy bench seating to the front with tall tables and chairs near the bar,the rear area had bench seating and a pool table to the rear left.
There were two pumps on the bar,one unclipped,i had a drink of Abbeydale Moonshine which went down well at 10.25 in the morning.
There was some decent background music playing, the pub was also quite busy with early morning drinkers.
I was happy enough having a drink in this pub.

This is a large shopping centre pub, very popular and busy at the time of our late afternoon visit. We had just come from watching the racing from Cheltenham at the Bridge, but the coverage there didn't extend to the last two races, so we popped in here instead. From the real ale point of view there is no comparison: there are two hand pumps here, but only Chantry New York Pale available. Racing UK was being shown on (at a guess) half a dozen TV screens, but by no means everyone appeared to be watching. It's good that they've put on a real ale here, and the price is competitive with the nearby 'Spoons, but I can't see myself being tempted back for another visit - although on second thoughts maybe Cheltenham Festival next year?
