The Sportsman is a stand alone pub that is sitated at the bottom end of adwick road.
Once inside the pub had been opened out into one room but with different areas,the bar was facing and there was a small area to the right which was probably the old bar area,there was another area to the front right which had a pool table and boxing machine in it,the lounge area was to the left,this area ran to the rear of the pub,it had comfortable bench seating facing the bar with small stools,this area was carpeted.
There were no real ales on the bar,the keg option was John Smiths smooth crap which it was.
The pub was quite busy with a good mix of locals.
I was happy enough in this pub just a shame there was not one real ale on here.
