The George and Dragon is a decent looking pub that is set sideways onto church street.
Once inside the pub is fairly large with different areas, the main bar area is to the left, this area wraps around the bar,the seating was comfy bench seats which faced the bar with normal tables and chairs, there is a decent sized dining area to the right which was empty on my visit and a large conservatory to the far right which had a pool table and normal tables and chairs in it.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths cask which was a decent drink, the other beer was Tetley mild.
The pub was fairly quiet on my Saturday afternoon visit, but there were a few people in the garden with it being such a hot day.
I had a decent chat with the young friendly barman who told me about pubs in his home town,i hope to visit these quite soon.
I quite liked this pub,it had areas to suit most peoples tastes and it was quite smart and comfortable.
