A large, roadside pub with is own stretch of Warmsworth Road running peacefully alongside the furiously busy A630. Signs seen outside the pub still mention cask ale, but the WhatPub write-up says that it had been given up "after several bad experiences" - last updated in 2015 and they still haven't changed the signs! And there's still a solitary hand pump on the bar, together with five (five!) different lagers, plus Guinness, Strongbow and John Smiths Smooth Crap. Service was perfunctory - almost the only words addressed to me were "we don't take cards" - and the atmosphere was totally lacking. It's a very smart interior, but with no personality or individuality. If it wasn't so big, you could easily imagine you were in someone's living room - the sort of people who redecorate every year and buy new furniture almost as often.
