This is a classy building in Doncaster's town centre, between the High Street and the market. This looks like a quieter area than it might have been two or three decades ago, and if this was a traditional pub or hotel building then it's much reduced, I would guess. But then maybe it's busier in the evenings - my afternoon visit found only a few punters, but the DJ set-up and sound system to the left of the bar looked like it might be capable of belting out a few watts. No real ale, as can be imagined - I made do with Tetleys Smooth.
