Very friendly pub unlike owston lodge

New owners took over this pub earlier in 2012 and they have done it proud in terms of food, service, and welcome! They hosted nearly 40 people in the conservatory who had been on a Treasure Hunt, single-handedly served us at the bar without fuss or fluster, and provided a superb Carvery. Some had other meals - Lamb Shank excellent!There is a good sized garden and great play area for children; all enclosed so is safe for kids likely to run onto a road. A really pleasant time - thank you!!

An old pub with many rooms and low ceilings with food dominating. Real Ales available with Johns and Green King IPA.
Pleasent pub and the carvery appears to be good value.
Car Parking and small garden.
