The day I called in was the first day in the pub for a new licensee, a pleasant and friendly young woman, who said she didn't have any real ale on because the pubco hadn't supplied any yet, but was aiming to get hold of some very soon.

I was a regular and my wife, Janice, worked as a barmaid here, when Jack and Doreen Wood had the pub.
I moved to Darton from Scunthorpe as a result of getting a job at Izal Ltd, Chapeltown, Sheffield.
I lived on Roman Road (the other side of the motorway) and moved from there to be landlord of the Bush Inn in Barnsley
