Strongers . left this review about The Tavern
The Tavern is a high street corner Craft Union pub that was busy with a middle aged crowd during a recent Wednesday afternoon visit. Entering from the High Street there is a snug with a high table to the left of the entrance and raised seating to the right, both areas are carpeted. The bar counter on the left-hand wall towards the rear faces a side entrance and banquette seating up the right. Standard keg and Birra Moretti were available. A pool table and dartboard are found in the wooden floored area at the rear. Televisions are found throughout for airing live football and horse racing. The service was polite, but a few of the customers left a lot to be desired. Now that I’ve been I don’t plan on returning.
