Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Mayflower
Busy estate pub retaining its two-bar interior. Simple - but well-maintained - furniture and decor in both parts. Also has a large grassed area beside it, but it isn't clear whether this forms part of the grounds or not. Good-natured staff and customers. Seeing no real ale on offer, I opted for a quick John Smith's (£1.55, half) in the public bar, but later spotted that Jennings Cumberland was available from one of the two handpumps in the lounge.

Good food in a friendly homely atmosphere. Carling £1.90 a pint can't
be bad. Ideal for that private function
