This pub is Good Beer Guide Listed and although I only had a half I can confirm that the beer was in very good condition. The four real ales on at the time of my visit (three hand pumps in one bar, with a sign saying that the other beer was available in the other) were Youngs London Gold, John Smiths Cask, Moorhouses Blonde Witch and Ringwood Marauder. An estate pub built in the late 50s, this one hasn't achieved the "important interior" status of the nearby Crows Nest, but it's still a very pleasant pub to have a drink in and is obviously valued by the people that run it and the community they serve.
