Old Blue left this review about Kings Head
One of Mitchell & Butler’s Sizzling Pubco establishments, a large pub predictably knocked through into one room, with modern decor and a mix of high and low tables and seating . Our recent afternoon visit found it populated largely by families with small children, giving it a sort of Wetherspoons-like feel except cleaner and less economical. However, in the evening it had a very different feel, with a fairly young crowd and a quiz night with a good buzz to it. Disappointing for ale choice, with two banks of three hand pumps only hosting a single Bombardier clip between them, but friendly and efficient service. I wouldn’t mind coming here again for quiz night (Tuesdays and Thursdays) if in the area, but would otherwise go across the car park to the Tilted Barrel.

Good food and Quiz nights, Has a prat of a Barman that refuses to serve anything that is not on the Til list, other staff great though. Good real Ale
