Strongers . left this review about Flat Earth Bar
There are two signs on the front of this venue, with the predominant one advertising ‘The Hotel’, so I thought this was part of the adjacent Aparthotel, which turns out to be true having been purchased by them in 2020. The second smaller and hardly legible sign advertises the Flat Earth Bar which is still trading as a separate entity from the hotel. There’s a beaded curtain across the entrance, the likes of which I’ve not seen since the 1970’s, and a strong smell of incense hits the nostrils as you enter this long and thin space. In the front is a laminate floored area with padded bench seating under the front windows and up the right-hand wall to the serving counter that sits midway up the right wall. The counter has a few bar stools that sit on a very worn piece of carpet in this central bar area. At the rear is low Moroccan style upholstered communal seating, I imagine there’re a few pipes knocking about in the back. Available from the bar were some premium and craft keg products alongside Fosters, I went for a Paulener priced at £3,50 for a half. The days of this being a fishmonger, pub & undertaker, as per the uncovered writing on the front are long gone, which I think is probably for the best. However, I’m a traditional pub fan who likes 20th century rock, so a Moroccan bar with an endless loop of acoustic music doesn’t do it of me.

Small pub just behind the walls and to the side of the Grosvenor shopping thingy. The place is a small L-shaped and there were 2 real ales on of which neither tasted any good. I don't like it but then, who cares?

Odd little pub behind the main shopping centre car park. Kitchen was being rebuilt but the menu and food advertising was still everywhere. Nice enough. Has a 4am licence Thursday to Saturday.
