Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Wheatsheaf
A pub that is over 200 years old that still seems to attract a local crowd, including a few inebriates. The bar area is immediately as you enter. There is a dining room off to the left and a corridor leading to a separate snug at the rear, also with bar access.
Regular beers are Theakston Best & Timothy Taylor Boltmaker. The guest beer was Bradfield Farmer's Blonde. Some rather irritating music was playing and the volume kept being turned up, probably to drown out the inebriates. But it made you want to slit your wrists. Luckily I came out of here unscathed apart from a knock to the shoulder from an extremely large, protruding door know. Beware!
