On my last visit I found it to be an excellent small town pub with a warm welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Extensive pub grub menu at reasonable prices and four well-kept ales (the FortyNiner and Butcombe Bitter were both excellent). It did, however, close down for a while but has now re-opened - I must make a return visit before I rate it.
