A small, old fashioned pub on the outskirts of Wells. There's just one bar which seems quite dated, although not shabby or unpleasant. In fact it's got a certain character to it. There are lots of photo's of the local area around the walls, many of them depicting scenes from when there was a railway in Wells.

There were a couple of fruit machines, but they were discreetly placed out the way at the back. There's also a very old video arcade game. It looks even older than the 80's Space Invaders game. Not sure if it actually works though, it wasn't on when we visited.

There's a skittle alley/function room out the back which is nice to see. So many of these seem to be getting turned in to restaurants these days. There is a small food menu available, although we didn't try it.

Two beers on tap, 6X and Butcombe. The solitary cider was Blackthorn.
