The layout remains much as described below, while an outside bar has been added at the bottom of the garden. It wasn't the friendliest of pubs, and the use of vapes by some of the customers made it less comfortable than it could have been. The pub dogs, a pair of rescued King Charles spaniels, were marginally more sociable than the human regulars. Three handpumps on the bar at the front dispensing Doombar, Bass ans Sheppey's cider, while the rear room was served by a bank of megas including Carling, John SMith's and Thatchers. Theme nights are dvertised, including 'Throwback Fridays', though that seems a bit near the knuckle for Wellington. There is a jukebox and a few gaming machines, but little to mark it out as exceptional. A reasonable high street pub, but not the best in town.

This is an old school high street town pub. It's a long narrow open plan room that is split into different areas. It has a stone tiled floor and the bar is further along on the right as you enter. There is a small dining area to the immediate left and a drinking area to the right where a few locals were discussing their recent good luck or otherwise with the horses. Further back there is a dart board and a pool table followed by a patio with a marquee covering.
The bar has three hand pumps which had Otter OPA & Bright and Taylors Landlord.
I went for the OPA which was in very good nick.
I thought this was a reasonably good local boozer.
