A basic town local on the edge of a housing estate. There is a large car park, seating at the front so the locals can stare at the cars going by and a covered terrace at the side for those who aren’t house-trained, from which the smell of stale smoke blew into the bar. Inside is an easy-wipe lino floor in the single large bar which also contains a pool table, two dartboards, gaming machines and a really irritating juke box. There is free WiFi, but the atmosphere isn’t conducive to reading e-mails or browsing. The staff were friendly enough, but the locals were fairly unpleasant and seemed to have evolved a means of communicating through belching and farting. No real ale, but there were two ciders on, which were reasonably potable. This rose has more pricks than most so I shall ramble elsewhere in future.
