Centurion reopened 16/09/2016. Saved by ACV protection and a long struggle by community action group and local Chester & SC CAMRA branch to stop Admiral Taverns demolishing the pub. Now run by local community on 1 year lease from Admiral Taverns. The Community group hopes to purchase the pub within the lease period. A big success to save a pub facing certain demolition!

I would like to say a big well done to Andy and Julie.Since taking over late last year there is a whole new dimensionto the Pub.Its very enjoyable going in there now with everything cleaned and newly decorated. Andy and Julie always make you feel very welcome and with the introduction of bar food its really starting to be a community pub again. If you have not been in the pub since Andy and Julie took over then please visit I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Thanks Andy and Julie.
