A lively village local build from hamstone on a constricted busy road. The car park is easily missed but it is behind the pub up the hill. From the car park you walk through a tidy lawned garden with benches, chairs and a barbecue. Inside there is a long bar made from 2 rooms and a separate games room with a pool table and dart board. There was a convivial atmosphere, the beer was in good condition, and the staff were friendly. Live sport was being shown on the TV. Only one ale on, Doombar, which was enjoyable. It’s a decent local, a bit of a pain to get to unless you’re passing, but I’d be happy to come in any time when passing.
