A 16th Century village pub with a homely yet rural feel to it. There is a small, quiet saloon on the right and a larger public bar with gaming machines and a TV screen on the left. The bars are carpeted, while there is a function suite at the back – imaginatively called The Sedgemoor Suite – at the rear. There is an eclectic collection of knick-knacks adorning the walls, including a complete cat skeleton fixed to one of the ceiling beams, a few horse brasses and a large painting of the village. They sell basic pub grub at reasonable prices, and their beer is good. Doombar, Tribute and Otter Amber were available on draft, all in good condition. Worth stopping as you pass through, though parking can be problematic.

Nice country pub with welcoming staff and pleasant atmosphere. Well kept ales but didn't try the food which appears to be normal pub grub. Overall just above average.
