A Victorian town pub which serves as a great local. There is an enclosed garden at the side, ideal for noisy children. Inside, the single bar has a pool table, jukebox and dartboard. The pub plays host to various clubs and societies, and there is a strong local following. Food is basic, cheap and cheerful. There was only one ale on, Doombar, which wasn’t in the best condition. A decent enough place for conviviality, especially if you live nearby or are part of a visiting sports team, but the beer isn’t good enough to make it a destination in its own right.

Brilliant pub, wicked atmosphere. Good for a quiet drink with your mother or a good laugh with your mates. This pub has a bit for everyone!! You will definitely enjoy if you like a good old fashioned pub without blaring boom boom music! Trust me I go there often enough.
