It's a much smaller bar than it looks from the outside. As you enter through the main door you walk straight into a pool table. There's a small number of tables and chairs and a few barstools. The bar has an unusual archway at the back that almost looks like a tunnel. There are 4 handpumps on the bar selling Bank's Bitter and Original, Spitfire and Everard Tiger. The Original was off when I called. I tried a pint of the Tiger which was a little hazy but it tasted OK. It feels like a proper community local. It's OK but nothing special.

Although next to towns main car-park and the famous Iron Bridge this pub is away from the hustle & bustle of this tourist destination. I've never known it crowded although the beer is good - last time I was there they sold Cameron's & Jennings. Good real ale as well as the usual stuff. Has a pool table in room just off the main bar.
