Fairly straightforward locals mid-terrace pub which has no front door – you need to go up a side alley. The main bar is an L shape with a larger rear lounge room and a number of red velveteen banquettes. No particular stand-out features, there’s a dart board and the big screens will be showing the sport as and when. Friendly guvnor and locals in situ. Two ales on, Wye Valley Butty and HPA, a half of the former was fair. As mentioned elsewhere, the bus to Oakengates and its Golden Triangle goes directly opposite, which we utilized! And despite the pub’s name, there’s no railway nearby… (visited June)

This pub had a quite spacious interior, which was a bit of a surprise. The décor was in need of a make over as it was fairly drab and wouldn't inspire you to stay for long, I have to say the pub is very handy for a quick half whilst waiting for the bus. The landlord and a couple of locals were friendly and chatty and the Wye Valley Butty Bach was decent.

An old school boozer with a basic interior,to one side a raised darts throw,with another board in a back section and a mix of old wooden furniture and some flatscreens ,off during my visit.A few regulars were dotted about on bar stools,there was a friendly welcome from behind the bar,where 4 handpumps are situated ,only two in use offering Wye Valley HPA and Butty Bach (decent).
Worth popping into on a crawl ,over the road for the bus to Oakengates and it's Golden Triangle.
