Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Britannia Inn
Solid-looking Banks's pub - once in a terrace, but having lost one of its neighbours at some stage in order to create a car park. Partly opened out inside, but still retaining separate lounge and public bars - the former (including three side alcoves extending into what would once have been the other adjacent terraced house) tidily refurbished but fairly sedate early on a Saturday evening, whereas the latter was simply furnished but very lively (with a pool table on use and entertainment for later being set up). Patio beer garden to the rear. As well as the expected Bitter (£2.80) and Mild, also had Boondoggle and Pedigree New World from elsewhere in the Marston's empire from a total of five handpumps. All appears very well run, and a fine example of a thriving community local.
