The Bell was a proper local boozer with a plain bar and nice wood panelled lounge , as the local area went gradually down-hill so did the pub , a re-invention as Joeys Family pub failed and it returned to being the Bell where it was taken over and run by the local drugs trade until being gutted by fire , now demolished the land is still vacant .
