Friendly one room local , 3 distinct areas , bar , lounge and small dining area . Bankss Mild , Bitter and guest , usually from Marstons .Patio doors lead to beer garden with a small kidies play area and views over the Shropshire plain . Sunday lunches are exellent as is the beer . worth a visit if in St Georges

A 10 minute walk from Oakengates, all uphill. The pub has a dining area to the left as you enter, a lounge in front of you with the bar to the right., there's also a large TV screen to the right showing the Spain v Iraq match last night and a quiz machine. It's a very pleasant looking pub. 3 ales on, all from the Marston's stable Marston's Bitter & Pedigree plus Banks's Original. I had a pint of the Banks's Original, it wasn't that good to be honest, I think it was getting to the end of the barrel. It's OK, and everyone was very friendly, but I'll probably not bother again.
