The Tontine is a thin high street boozer with banquette seating in the front window before a bar counter on the right-hand wall. Then a few high tables lead to steps up to a banquette seating area that faces a stool lined beer shelf along the rear of the right-hand wall. Televisions throughout show live football and a jukebox provides background music A few Rat Pack prints are dotted about and the governor gave off an air that he was a bit naughty back in the day. No real ale anymore. I don’t think I’ll be rushing back here.

Not a bad little pub. A single room with a beer garden to your left once you've walked in. Not the greatest selection of cask ale with the 2 on offer being Bass bitter and the rubbish Doom Bar. Directly opposite Wetherspoons's entrance or round the corner of the other Wethers entrance.
