Strongers . left this review about The Old Bulldog

The Old Bulldog looked like it had been converted to residential use as I approached, so I was surprised to find an open entrance at the rear where there’s a small car park. The interior is L-shaped with laminated, tiled and carpeted flooring throughout which suggested to me that rooms have been knocked through at some point to create an open plan space that has the feel of a social club, although it isn’t. The wood panelled serving counter with standard and premium keg products is found along the wall to the left of the entrance. At the far and of the counter is a games area that houses a pool table and dartboard. Opposite the counter is a row tables with banquettes that back onto a laminate floored square that must be used as a dancefloor when the stage along the rear wall is in use. Televisions found in the games area and bar were airing Sky Sports News and Cricket. The barman was polite enough and the locals were generating a friendly atmosphere as they discussed the benefits of taking multivitamins. I’d probably use this place if I lived locally, but it isn’t somewhere that is going to interest an out-of-towner.

Alan Winfield left this review about Sea Lion Inn

The Sea Lion is in the back streets and not too far from the middle of Longton.
This pub did'nt look that promising from the outside but once inside it was quite smart and very busy there was one real ale on the bar this was Ruddles best and this was a fairly decent drink.
