The Northwood is a thin pub with a bar counter to the left of the entrance that runs across the front facing seating along the rear. A fireplace to the right separates the bar seating from the pub sports area that houses a pool table and dartboard. To the left of the bar is a small seating area and further left is a room that had a roaring fire. On the chimney breast above the fire was another dartboard. Televisions are found throughout, muted Sky Sports News was on as my recent midweek visit was before any football had kicked off. There was some background music playing. The bar supports standard and premium keg as well as an offering from Beavertown. I counted three hand pumps, the GK Rocking Rudolph was off, but Abbot Ale and Bass were available. The service was polite and there was a good atmosphere from the locals. Even outside was nice with the smell of the smoke from the chimneys. I’d visit here again.

The Northwood is a decent looking bare brick built pub.
Once inside there was a single room which ran the width of the pub,the bar was situated to the front, the room looked quite smart with comfy bench seats and stools, there was a smallish area to the far right which had normal tables and chairs, the room was carpeted throughout.
There was one real ale on the bar which was Pedigree, this was a nice drink.
There was some decent music playing and the pub was fairly busy with a decent lively atmosphere.
I quite liked this pub.
