This 200 year old pub, which lately has been operating more as a restaurant/carvery operation, is now under serious threat. A planning application has been submitted to Trafford MBC to demolish the pub and build retirement flats on the site. Local opposition is expected but the pub has no listed status.

The Hare and Hounds is a largish pub that is situated next to a busy road junction.
This was a fairly smart pub inside that was geared up for people having meals and it was not really a drinkers pub but i was made just as welcome, this pub is a Banks's tied house but it was unsigned on the outside, there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Pedigree and this was a decent enough drink the other beer was Banks's bitter.
