The George & Dragon is a Table Table pub located adjacent to Altrincham Premier Inn. The left-hand entrance is boarded up making the pub look closed from that side. The entrance on the right-hand side opens onto a dining area that was empty during a recent midweek late afternoon visit. Past this dining area against the front wall is a bar counter that faces a pool table and the rear exit to the hotel. Some seating and a television for airing live sports are found to the left. Standard and premium keg was available and one of the two hand pumps was badged with St Austell’s Proper Job. The service was painfully slow with nobody manning the bar for over five minutes. I think the staff all went for a fag or something, which was not great because I witnessed people leave who were sick of waiting, another 30 seconds and I would have done the same. With this being a Table Table pub my low expectations were almost met.
