Albert’s Shed is a sprawling live music and weekend reveller venue with an interesting mix of sofas and chairs, one of which is that front of a car. The serving counter up the right-hand wall supports standard and premium keg and the lone hand pump was drawing 3.8% Albert’s Ale which I decided to avoid. There’s a mix of high tables, stools and barrel tables up to a stage at the rear where a very posh band were setting up during a quiet midweek evening visit. The staff were very friendly, but this isn’t somewhere that is aimed at the likes of me, so I don’t plan on revisiting.

A large warehouse-style place full of assorted junk and clearly aimed at the young, probably passing for trendy in Shrewsbury. It does at least have some handpumps, with barrels beneath visible through a glass panel, serving a couple of Salopian beers (including a house beer) and one from Stonehouse, also a cider. Sadly the condition of the house ale was poor. Possibly tolerable during the day but wouldn't want to be here on a busy evening.

Not quite as big as The Warehouse round the corner but another large single room with plenty of space for vertical drinking for the weekend rush. Made to look a bit scruffy with "keg" sawdust on the floor and given a rather rustic look. A bit more of a mixed age group than its near neighbours, probably due to the large number of TV screens in every part of the room showing Premiership football.
