UPDATE: Black Country Ales have taken the pub over after a period of closure. While they do a sympathetic refurbishment, the old pub was gutted and now has a single space. Usual BCA beer range with several guests. Always worth a visit, just preferred it as it was.

A large detached white and beam, with some brick build, with dormer windows and beer garden - i believe it is a grade II listed building and it has character.

The interior had two rooms that i saw; the lounge and bar. The bar was in white artex, with black ceiling and support beams, with some brick as well. There was a TV, which had the racing on, and a dart board. There were some bits of beer memorabilia around as well as prints of the pub on the walls. The service was fine and the clientele mixed, mainly because i was with a coach party that decended on the place - which they coped with well.

Beer; some tap stuff, but what a class choice on handpull; there was Shropshire Gold, Exmoor Gold, Wye Valley HPA and Holdend Bitter that i didnt try - the Enville Ale, Enville Porter and Holden's MILD were a treat.

What a quality establishment. If i do not return to this pub it is because i have died.
