This 2 roomed pub was friendly enough and 3 real ales were available at the time. As noted elsewhere these were from Offa's.

A friendly welcome from both barmaid and locals greeted us in the Olde Vaults. We were advised on which of the beers available went down best and which pubs in Oswestry were worth a visit (very few as it transpired).
The front bar is comfy enough with wood floors and leather (fake?) furniture. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of 80's music and videos being played on the telly in the corner.
The back bar is much bigger but was empty on our visit so we went with the atmosphere at the front.
Beers on were all Offa's Dyke: Offa's Pride, Barley Gold and Grim Reaper - a 5% porter recommended by the locals which I thoroughly enjoyed and was the best pint I found in Oswestry.
One of two Oswestry boozers which I'd return to.

This is the tap for Offa's Dyke Brewery and the three handpumps in the front bar offer them. The room itself is sparse with a strange mix of modern furniture including pooves which were inheritantly unstable and this was my first pint !The flatscreen blared out a music channel and the pine floor didn't improve the look. However the friendly gaggle of locals at the bar pointed the way to Offas Grim Reaper,a decent enough porter. The other choices were Offas Pride and Barley Gold, reported as uninspiring by the crew.
The back room is carpeted and the handpumps in there offered a real cider and perry. As it turned out after an tour around town in search of decent real ale, this place maybe worth considering after all especially if you like drinking in a sports bar atmosphere.
