Shabby exterior and a fairly basic damp-smelling interior that's seen better days but there's a bit of old pub character remaining. Three ales all from Revolution, the Copper Bottom was a tad warm (even with me slipstreaming the previous order) but decent enough (NBSS 3). Nice darts area to the rear end. Feels like it needs a refresh both outside and in. 6.5

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Salopian Star

Another of the town's landmark black-and-white timbered buildings, and like many others, the interior has been substantially altered at some stage. Once inside the portico entrance, you find a fairly basic L-shaped bar with a limited amount of mixed furniture with an alehouse look. With two of the four handpumps in use, there were two local real ales from New Brew: Session IPA (£2.90) and NPA. So not a great choice, but plus one mark for the friendly landlord.

From a distance this pub looks fine but up close the exterior is a bit unkempt and you therefore enter with a bit of trepidation as to the interior. Whilst the interior isn't the best it is actually a good friendly pub. A single room with plenty of brass/copper nic nacs dotted around. The were 4 handpumps but only 2 were in use with both beers from Brew Brewery. Despite the rather run down look to the place its probably worth a visit. They have a resident pub dog and its huge.
