Stunning old pub serving the same 3 ales as when Soupy called in. I agree it is worth a look!

A fabulous looking c17 building with a patio at the back. The interior has been stripped to make one long room, sadly, which retains the beam look and there is an imposing fireplace. Old photos and other pictures dot the walls. . Soft music graced, with a TV that had menus on! Service was very friendly and a few people were in. We ate here and the food was very good. Three ales with Ludlow Gold, Wye Valley HPA and a very good Butty Bach. Definitely worth a look.

Another striking half-timbered building, one of many in Ludlow with a grade II-listed 17th century façade to a pub dating from around 1385.
Recently well reviewed by ROB and therefore unchanged, with a rather stark interior but at least with two rooms displaying some old unpainted beams, pale grey colour scheme, a fine brick fireplace with décor in the form of eclectic prints and zero customers on my Sunday evening visit at 8.30.
A cask selection amounted to two unused pumps then Doom, Wye Valley’s Butty Bach and HPA, thereafter Three Tuns Bishop’s Castle, very nice at an expensive £2.20 a half, served by an understandably bored barman.
This place is ok for a beer, but as mentioned, it’s not in Ludlow’s top echelon of quality hostelries.
