Closed on a Bank Holiday Monday at around 3pm and an "o" missing from the 'Norton's' sign didn't seem to be a good advertisement. Looking inside, there appeared to be a right-angled bar with two lots of T-bar fonts with standard keg offerings, including a crafty-type IPA which I couldn't quite make out the provenance of. This place appears to function as a cafe during the day then a bar in the evening. Either way, you're best off walking past this to the eminently better Oxbrew a few units up Langdale Court.

Old Boots left this review about Nortons Restaurants & Bar

A modern bar in a complex of small shops behind the Langdale Hall. Three T Bars of absolutely standard keg beers and ciders. There is a pleasant outdoor sitting / smoking area otherwise much like any other bar in the style. Its attraction probably depends more on the company you're with or hope to meet.
