Looked the ticket - but probably the worst service (for a drinker) that I have ever experienced. I would have walked out, if only the pub I meant to go in Letcombe Regis, hadn't already closed down. Terrible day to be a real ale fan!
I came in and they are obviously geared up for eating. No problem with this, but pay for a waitress. The girl behind the bar was doing a large drink order for a table. I waited. Then the punters started arguing about the Wine. She disappeared. I waited.
She came out with another bottle. I waited.
She finally got behind the bar and looked like she would burst into tears. I asked if she wouldn't mind serving me a drink and she looked surprised I was even there. I had a bright orange walking top on :-)
Decent pint - I had a lovely Loose Cannon Christmas Ale that hit the spot. 15 minutes after it should have been hitting the spot.
