A place that has been blandized by modernization, some low beams but fairly modern and characterless. Long, open plan bar area with unusable dart board. Front and rear beer garden were the best seating options on our sunny summer visit. Plus point were the A1 gents facilities. Long front area. Four pumps with three ales on; Brakspear Bitter, Brakspear Oxford Gold (so-so) and Thwaites Lancaster Bomber. Free water dispenser at bar, so fair play. Overall, not a huge amount to get excited about.
