Had a decent drink of the Elgoods Lizard of Oz in this friendly hotel. Food was being served and we enjoyed a £2.99 soup which came with a wonderful hot bagette and plenty of spreadable butter. Tables appeared to be set out for diners, but drinkers were welcome enough.

The Hare and Hounds is in a nice row of georgian buildings that face the river Nene.
This pub is an Elgoods tied house and it looked decent enough from the outside but once inside the pub had been knocked about a bit and was geared up for the younger evening drinkers.
There was one real ale on the bar this was Elgoods Cambridge bitter and this was a decent drink,and so it should be as it is close to the brewery.
