Once a thriving local back in the 80s, underwent a couple of ill-advised makeovers in the last 5 years which turned it from a multi roomed back street boozer into an open plan gastro type pub with pine interior and bright colored furnishings.
Completely out of place for the area and trade dwindled and it finally shut down in November last year.
Pub company Greene King sold it in 2005 to Admiral Taverns but was bought outright by the Landlady in 2006, who still lives in the premises
Still closed and currently up to be sold at auction..
