A former Vale Brewery pub, this Village local was Oxford Camra’s Pub of the Year in 2007 and 2008.
But it shut in 2009 when the Landlord sold a lot of the fixtures and fittings and did a runner owing the brewery a significant amount of rent.
Still shut some 3 years later but the villagers continue to fight plans to turn it into a residential property and hope someday, someone will come and reopen as a pub.
