If we were not starving we would have driven past this pub but we were glad we stopped for a Sunday lunch. We spent 4 months driving from London thru York up to West Coast Scotland back to the midlands and the south east and west of England and Wales and this was the best Sunday meal we had. It was a nice simple well cooked and delicous good old fashioned roast and what more it was not microwaved! Gernerally we found UK pub food leaves a lot to be desired, and we ate out most days which was about 120 days in total but this one stood out in its quality ........ps the land lord was very pleasant too!
