Well, considering it's a rock bar, it wasn't all that noisy. Mind, it was only just gone 2:30pm. I do like a bit of loud music from time to time, especially if no one needs to talk to me. I managed to make the barman understand my order for a half of the Blue Monkey Cinder Toffee 5% stout, which did exactly what it said on the pump clip, so deserves NBSS 4 (£4.80/pint). The only GK beer, the 3.4% IPA, had its pump clip turned around; there were three other cask ales and two ciders in boxes. A rare sighting of a pinball table. Recommended.

Unbranded Greene King rock pub with the expected rather dark and grungy look inside the overall U-shaped bar (although there is also a side alcove on one side). Thankfully, cask ale remains a thing here, with IPA, the 'house' (no doubt GK) Chugging Riffs (£5.30 with a packet of McCoy's crisps) and stronger guest beers from Lenton Lane and Milestone plus a Lilley's cider from five of the six handpumps.
