The 17th/21st Lancer was a new build pub that probably opened in the mid to late 70s.
Once inside the pub unusual in that the main bar room was upstairs,this room was quite smart being carpeted and having bench seating and normal tables and chairs.
The pub was a Kimberley tied house,there were two real ales on the bar,i have had Kimberley bitter on all occasions i have been in here,the other beer was Kimberley mild.
Sadly the pub closed down in the 90s and was converted into a tesco express.
