As with most lLoyds its standard spoons come day, dick head central slum come night. Not to mince my words this place with its cheap prices and super loud music attract some very rough and ready customers. There is no carpet, all hard floors unlike most spoons and a rare floor area that this cleared of tables in the evening. the pub is set over two levels with the main bar on the ground floor that is square and serves from all sides.
Surprisingly it is quite well stocked and has over a dozen ales and at good prices and not inflated spoons prices as you get in some central city spoons. Beer is served in plastic in the evening but I just nabbed it before is swapped over and enjoyed a very passable Kellham island Easy rider at a wallet friendly £2.15. In the daytime this is a passable place with decent ales at good prices but is strongly avoid coming here in the evening especially on a weekend. the six strong tea, of bouncers should tell you all you need to know.

I arrived at this place early on a Saturday evening to find it rammed. There was a fairly loud music track playing which seemed odd as most of the people present seemed to be older family groups rather than young folk.
I thought I saw two banks of six hand pumps on the bar but didn't get to note all the beers. There were two Lincoln Green beers and a Falstaff Darkside (£2.59) which I went for. This was in very good nick but seemed expensive until I discovered it was a 6% ABV beer. It was served in a hard plastic glass despite there being a Carling glass on a table near me.
Overall I wasn't impressed with this one but would be prepared to give it another go earlier in the day.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Lloyds No.1
Imposing banking hall conversion, much larger inside than the Carlton Street frontage would suggest, featuring an island bar, side room and a mezzanine floor at one end. Reasonable selection from ten handpumps, including Maid Marian from Springhead (£1.99).
