The Lion Hotel was situated on Nottinghams busiest shopping street.
Once inside this was quite a large pub with a single room, the serving bar was on the left side, the room extended quite a way back and there was a drinking area to the rear right, the seating was bench type and normal tables and chairs in the middle of the room.
The pub was an Home Ales tied house, with a decent drink of Home bitter on the bar, this was one of our Saturday dinner pubs,it was always busy with a good mix of shoppers and drinkers.
Sadly this pub closed down in the the early 90s,it is now an amusement arcade.
