Alan Winfield left this review about Happy Man
The Happy Man was a smallish brick built estate pub thet resembeled the houses that were around it.
Once inside the pub had two smallish rooms with a decent bar and a smart and comfortable lounge, the pub was a Kimberley tied house and there were two real ales on here with both Kimberley bitter and mild being nice enough drinks.
After GK took over Kimberley brewery they started closing Kimberleys smaller pubs and the Happy Man closed its doors for the last time in 2009,the pub was soon pulled down and there are now flats on its site which is a shame as this area of Stapleford is short on pubs.
